Alma Chavez

Alma Chavez is a proud Dallas native and bilingual legal professional dedicated to advocating for clients at Kelso Law PLLC. She graduated in the top 10% of her class from the Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet in 2017 before earning her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Forensic Science Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020.  Since 2022, Alma has been part of the Kelso Law PLLC team, joining the firm before she enrolled in law school. In May of 2025, Alma earned her J.D. from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law. During her time at UNT Dallas, she was a Dean’s Scholar for five semesters, graduated in the top 15% of her class, and received CALI Awards in Civil Motions and Texas Civil Procedure.  Most recently, Alma scored in the top 1-2% of examinees nationwide on the July 2025 Uniform Bar Examination.  Alma’s practice focuses on representing claimants, plaintiffs and beneficiaries in personal injury, medical malpractice and immigration matters. She looks forward to continuing to grow her practice and serve clients with diligence, compassion, and dedication.
